The Chinese certification authority CNCA published new implementation rules on motor vehicle tires applicable for China Compulsory Certification (CCC-Certification). According to the CNCA, the new implementation rule CNCA-C12-01:2015 will become effective from January 1, 2016 and will replace the old standard for tires CNCA-03C-027:2001.
Among others, the new implementation rules include an updates technical data sheet and detailed production consistency inspection requirements with a required conformity of production control file in order to ensure conformity of production volume of certified products.
The CNCA-C12-01:2015 has been published mainly due to technological developments and new products. Applicants for the CCC-Certification may use the standard starting from January 1, 2016. However, all certificate holders must adjust their CCC-Certificates until January 1, 2018, at the latest.
The implementation rule applies to new motor vehicle pneumatic tires, including car tires, truck tires, motorcycles tires for motor vehicles of the classes M, N, O and L (for vehicle category see the definition in GB/T 15089). This standard does not apply to retreaded tires and tire designed specifically for contests. Scope adjustment due to legal regulations or relevant product standards, technology, industrial policy and other factors caused a change should be based on the CNCA announcement are possible.
