China’s increasing environmental problems force the Chinese government and companies to implement counter-measures. In the last days, for the first time red alert has been proclaimed in Beijing because of smog problems. The fine dust pollution exceeded 24-times the recommended limit of the World Health Organisation.
For some time, Chinese government tries to solve the environmental problems through measures such as supporting the purchase of (1) electric vehicles and (2) environment pollution control technologies. As a result, China is now the biggest sales market for e-mobility according to a study of Center of Automotive Management. From January to September 2015, sales of electric cars increased by 135% up to 100,000 vehicles.
Just as sales of electric vehicles increased, export to China of components for these vehicles grew likewise. However, because Chinese customs often suspects these components to require a CCC-Certificate, customs issues and delivery delays often occur. For avoiding these problems, many manufacturers conduct the CQC-Certification at the Chinese authority China Quality Certification Centre (CQC).
