On 14.09.2017, ECCS will hold a seminar on certification of China spare parts management for mechanical engineers at the Export Academy in Stuttgart.
Machinery exports to China have risen sharply over the last 20 years. Although many mechanical engineers in Germany have no problems with the export of their own machines to China, there are always problems with the spare parts business. In particular, spare parts such as plugs, cables, sensors, lights and relays are often identified by the Chinese customs with the note of a missing CCC Certificate. Other required China certifications are CEL and SELO Certificates.
Mechanical engineers often rely on Chinese customs or consulting agencies, since they themselves cannot verify the legitimacy of these demands. Therefore it is important for these companies to know what is behind these China Certificates, how to check if a spare part needs a certificate and what measures are required for a CCC, CEL or SELO obligation. It is also important to understand the link between the certification obligation and the HS Code.
The aim of the seminar is to provide participants with an overview of China Certificates and to build up knowledge so that mechanical engineers can check their products for certification requirements.
