The Chinese certification authority CQC has released the new implementation rules CQC11-463426-2017 Safety Certification Rules for Cables of Electric Vehicles Conductive Charging Systems and the new GB Standard GB/T 33594-2017 Charging cables for electric vehicles for the CQC-Certification.
Starting from December 1st 2017, the three old standards are replaced:
In their place the new standard GB/T 33594-2017 Charging cables for electric vehicles will be implemented. The appendixes 3, 4 and 5 are added. They concern cables that do not conform to norms and standards, cables for AC charging systems with a rated voltage of 300 or 500 V and spring cables for AC charging systems with a rated voltage of 450 or 750 V. Requirements for samples also changed.
Until December 1st 2017 it is possible to choose between a certification according to GB/T 33594-2017 Charging cables for electric vehicles and a certification according to CQC1103-2015, CQC1104-2015 and CQC1105-2015. After that certifications are only handled according to the new standard. The change to a new certificate should be completed before July 1st 2018. Certifications that have not been renewed by that time will temporarily lose their validity. If they have not been changed by October 1st 2018, they lose their validity permanently.
