With the publication of the new Implementation Rules CNCA-C07-01:2017 Implementation Rules on Compulsory Certification-Appliances for Household and Similar Uses by the Certification and Accreditation Administration of the People’s Republic of China (CNCA), electric blankets and similar products now also require CCC-Certification.
The new Implementation Rules CNCA-C07-01:2017 were published on 16th October 2017 and are valid since 1st November 2017. They replace CNCA-C07-01: 2014 and now also comprise electric blankets, electric pads and similar flexible heating appliances. However, the Implementation Rule does not apply to most automotive heaters and automotive seat heaters because of the voltage and connectors.
The newly added products have to comply with the following safety standards:
After successful certification, the products can be marked with the safety label of the CCC-Certification (CCCS). To this end, readily prepared stickers can be purchased or an application of a Permission of Printing (PoP) can be made.
Applications for CCC-Certification of electric blankets can already be made at the respective certification authorities. Amongst others, that is currently possible at the CQC and the CCLC. When applying, the newly published detailed implementation rules of the chosen authority have to be taken into consideration as well.
